Having contemplated the artist statements of others, I am finding I have less and less to say about my work. I used to keep a dream journal, it spanned several years and many notebooks. What I found after a time was that I was too bored by my own writing to reread any of it.
My art is a better form of journal keeping. My works are a more truthful account of my progression. Each of my pieces remains an intact record of my dreamtime, that I may contemplate at my leisure. As time passes they move in and out of prominence for my attentions.
I have always found that there are a great many experiences that I have no words for. My art fills the function neatly as my record keeper and interpreter of those experiences.

Randomness is really hard to achieve. Our organizational behavior takes over unless we remain mindful. Being at home in a random universe takes the mindfulness of an artist.
